Palliative Care ACT is offering a free, three-hour workshop designed to strengthen confidence and skills in supporting older people through palliative care and end-of-life care.

This practical, interactive session will provide strategies you can use in your everyday work or life, with opportunities to learn from people in the field, work through case-based examples and share experiences with others.

What you’ll learn

The workshop will cover:

• Principles of palliative care
• The role of aged care workers in palliative care
• Recognising signs that someone is reaching end of life
• Symptom management
• Communication skills
• Self-care

Who is this training for?

This training is designed for aged care support workers, and this session is accessible to anyone from the community who is interested in palliative and end-of-life care in aged care settings.
